The Marine Arctic Peace Sanctuary Treaty has been translated into the six official languages of the United Nations and presented to the heads of government of each of the 193 UN member states.
We are in ongoing dialogue with heads of government worldwide and their environment and foreign affairs ministries, to swiftly secure MAPS Treaty signatures.
The United Nations is a linchpin for MAPS. It brings the countries of the world together for peace, sustainable development and the upholding of international law, which includes the MAPS Treaty once it enters into force.
United Nations meetings and conferences are key opportunities for Treaty ratification by multiple countries at once.
We bring the MAPS Treaty to UN General Assembly and climate conferences, beginning from COP21.
We know that governments act when people demand it. We make it easy with electronic petition, social media and letter writing campaigns to hold governments accountable for MAPS.
THE HEARTBEAT OF THE PLAN
Facing an unprecedented planetary catastrophe, we are called to innovate exceptional methods to ensure the planet, and all life on it, are safe. Traditional grassroots outreach for a global initiative takes much time – time that our planet does not have. So we are harnessing the exponential power of modern media to penetrate, permeate and pervade global awareness with the urgent need to protect the sea ice for all life on Earth. It is essential to deliver strategic educational content and consistent messaging in new and inspiring ways.
We do this by captivating the imagination of people around the globe with a constant stream of highly visible, engaging content that urges the immediate protection of the Arctic Ocean for the sake of all life. Our plan reaches diverse cultures and interests and builds trust, which accelerates demand for the critically needed intervention.
The aim is to powerfully awaken an inner call to action within the hearts of humanity, in the general public and in our world leaders alike.
Music is the universal language. It transcends borders and cultures. Music speaks to the heart and sparks the imagination. Music, more than any other medium, has the power to transform societies and awaken an unstoppable call to action.
Yoga is an invitation to awaken to our inherent interconnection with the world around us. YEM: Yoga as Energy Medicine, in particular, focuses on embodying that interconnection. It supports the understanding of the world that makes Nature conservation self-evident.
Every major movement in history has been ignited with words, both spoken and written. Stories help us find meaning in life and celebrate our shared humanity. Whether told by our ancestors around the fire, or through digital books on mobile devices, they have the ability to transmit complex information and spark new possibility in a way that is accessible to everyone.
