Parvati.org Launches New Website As Springboard To Realizing MAPS

Parvati.org is delighted to announce the launch of its newly redesigned website: parvati.org. The new design, optimized for speed as well as visual appeal, presents the organization’s work in a much more user-friendly format and encourages people to learn more and get involved. Designed and executed in-house by volunteers, this is the first retooling of the website since its original launch in January 2015. Looking ahead to major initiatives for Parvati.org in 2017 and beyond, the website will be regularly updated with compelling media narratives and high-quality artistic experiences to support a global shift to a sustainable future.

Parvati was incorporated in December, 2014 with a clear mission: to promote a healthy environment and healthy people so that our children and our children’s children may thrive on a healthy planet. Parvati’s first order of business is to protect the Arctic sea ice, our planetary life support system and global temperature regulator.

In late 2015, Parvati.org created the international Marine Arctic Peace Sanctuary (MAPS) Treaty, translated into the six official United Nations (UN) languages, and distributed to the heads of government of all member nations of the UN for their formal endorsement. Parvati.org is in ongoing dialogue with world governments considering the Treaty. MAPS designates the ocean north of the Arctic Circle as an international marine conservation area, precluding all commercialization, industrialization, and militarization in this delicate environment, and uniting world leaders in agreement that the Arctic Ocean and its resources are the common heritage of mankind.

“Parvati is staffed by 100% volunteers, all concerned global citizens who understand that our current trajectory of consumption that causes environmental harm is unsustainable and must stop,” says Parvati.org founder, Canadian musician, yogi and activist Parvati. “The team at Parvati.org is committed like never before to realizing MAPS, the Marine Arctic Peace Sanctuary. The new, redesigned website reflects our dedication and determination to achieve this goal.”

Parvati.org is asking the members of the public to sign its petition calling for the declaration of the Marine Arctic Peace Sanctuary, and to urge their heads of government to sign the MAPS Treaty. There is no more time to delay – the time for the Marine Arctic Peace Sanctuary is now.
